Design and Planning Services

• Surveying– measuring your garden and discussing with you what you want from your space.
• Scale Plan– detailed drawings of different design ideas so you can choose a whole design or pick out elements of the different designs leaving you with your perfect garden.
• Planting Lists–Based on your own personal taste, the aspect and soil conditions of your garden a comprehensive planting list will be compiled.
• Putting Plans into Action– at this point you can carry out the plans yourself or we can work together using our Garden Coaching Service. Or maybe you would like to commission us to carry out the work for you.

Garden Coaching

• Basic ground preparation – getting your soil ready for planting is possibly the most important part of your new garden.
• Pruning what and when – we will guide you through what plants need pruning and when, we’ll even give you demonstrations on how to prune and a pruning schedule.
• Weed identification – when gardens get to overgrown it’s hard to distinguish the weeds from the hidden gems.
• Plant identification – when we inherit existing gardens it’s good to know what plants are already there and how to care for them.
• Identification of pests and diseases – recognising these and knowing how to treat them is very important to keep your plants healthy.
• Creating planting schemes – when you’re new to gardening we can advise which plants are suitable for the soil and light conditions. Other considerations are which plants give structure, all year interest, foliage texture and a pleasing colour palette. So you can produce a planting plan and save costly mistakes.
